Kinusaiga is a beautiful Japanese art form often described as “patchwork without sewing.” Instead of stitching fabric together, small pieces of fabric are carefully tucked into a pre-cut design to create a detailed, textured picture. The result is a stunning fabric mosaic that looks intricate but is surprisingly relaxing to make.

In this craft workshop you’ll learn the basic techniques of Kinusaiga and create your own unique piece to take home, including a deep shadow box frame.
